Documents A Project From Italian Designer Martino Gamper, Initially Exhibited In 2007, Which He Described As A “3D Drawing Project”, Presented Here In Its Fourth Edition And Fourth Size.
For This Exercise, Gamper Aimed To Create 100 Chairs In 100 Days By Reconfiguring Objects Retrieved Over A Two Year Period, Resulting In A Collage Of Design History, Converting The Character And Features Of The Chairs As A Means To Investigate The Potential Merger Of Several Stylistic And Structural Elements. The Process Is Immediate And Spontaneous, Like Sketching In Three Dimensions.
